Water wells
Safe and reliable wells for villages where clean drinking water is limited.
Millions still struggle to access clean and safe drinking water. Help provide it to families and communities in Bangladesh through water wells and sustainable water solutions.
Why It Matters
For many families in Bangladesh, clean drinking water is not easy to find. Women and children often walk long distances to collect water that may not even be safe to drink.
That walk is made several times a day, and it is usually made by women and girls. What makes it harder still is that the water at the end of it is often contaminated, so the journey does not even settle the problem it was made to solve. Unsafe water causes serious illness, and illness falls heaviest on the households least able to absorb it.
water projects
HF Trust UK supports sustainable water projects that benefit families, schools, Madrasahs and local communities. The Trust has supported more than 70 water wells and water projects, working with local partners to find the communities where the need is greatest and to make sure what is installed is built to keep running rather than simply to be finished.
That is what makes water different from most other giving. A single source keeps serving the people around it for years after the work is done, so the benefit reaches children who were not born when it was dug. Clean water close to home also gives back the hours the walk used to take, and those hours go into school, work and family rather than into carrying.

Your Donation
Clean water does far more than quench thirst. It protects families from waterborne diseases, improves hygiene, supports education, and lets communities spend less time collecting water and more time building better lives.
Build a Water Well
Building a water well is a meaningful form of charity that continues to benefit people every day. Every family that drinks clean water, every child who stays healthy, and every person who performs Wudu using clean water benefits from your generosity.
Whether you fund an entire water well or contribute towards a community project, your support helps change lives and brings hope to those who need it most.
