Why Give Sadaqah
Charity given freely, and by choice
Sadaqah is any act of giving offered willingly, seeking nothing in return. The word shares its root with sidq, meaning truthfulness, because giving when nothing compels you is a proof of sincere faith.
Unlike Zakat it has no fixed rate, no wealth threshold and no annual date, so there is no minimum and no maximum. It can be given on behalf of someone else, and where a gift keeps giving for years it becomes Sadaqah Jariyah.
The Quran compares charity to a grain that grows into a harvest, and the Sunnah emphasises giving consistently rather than giving large. A modest amount every month is worth far more to a household than the same total once a year.
Where Your Sadaqah Can Help
It goes where the need is
Because Sadaqah carries no restriction on who may benefit, it is the most useful giving we receive. It can be directed to whatever is most urgent on the day it arrives.
In practice that means food for widows and households that have lost an earner; clean water through new hand pumps and the repairs that keep existing ones running; and medicine and treatment where the nearest hospital is hours away.
It also supports orphaned children and keeps them in school, and when Bangladesh floods, as it does most years, it lets our local teams move in the same week rather than waiting for an appeal.
Why Choose Us
Giving that reaches people
Unrestricted giving is only as good as the people who decide where it goes. That decision is the whole of it.
HF Trust UK is a charity registered in England and Wales, working in Bangladesh through established local teams. The same teams carry all of the Trust's work, in orphan care, food, clean water, medical support and emergency relief.
Need is checked before support is given, not afterwards. Those teams know the communities they work in, which is why help reaches the households carrying the most and arrives without a crowd or a camera.
Give Today
The easiest good you can do today
Sadaqah asks nothing of you but the decision. No threshold to reach, no date to wait for, no amount you have to match. Whatever you give reaches a family in Bangladesh as something they needed that week, and it can keep reaching them every month if you choose it to.
